Prof. Christophe Coupé received a PhD degree in cognitive science in 2003 from the University of Lyon 2. He then worked as a researcher at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), until joining HKU in 2018.

Prof. Peter J Cobb is an associate professor in the School of Humanities and a field archaeologist. Each summer, he helps lead excavations in Armenia together with the Armenian Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography.

Prof. Javier Cha is a digital historian and medievalist who uses technology to explore the East Asian world a millennium ago and also aims to prepare the historical profession for an era of data abundance and automation. His research spans the translation of primary sources in classical Chinese, machine-assisted historical methods, and experimental projects that address the challenges posed by big data and artificial intelligence in the humanities.

Prof. Anya Adair researches medieval English literature, as well as pre-modern English law and legal culture. Her research explores Old and Middle English law and literature, medieval language interaction, book history and manuscript studies, poetry and poetics, the history of the English language and the digital humanities.

Prof. Yuqi Chen

Prof. Yuqi Chen works at the intersection of Quantitative History, Digital Humanities, and AI for the Humanities. Her research integrates artificial intelligence and computational methods with humanities inquiry, aiming to uncover new insights through interdisciplinary approaches.
Dr. Kal Ng

Dr. Kal Ng is a practitioner in Architectural Design, virtual reality research, film producing and scriptwriting.

He is at present a lecturer of Intelligent Architecture and Virtual Reality at HKU and as programmer for the HDT Trajectory Workshops.

Dr. Wenjing Ni

Dr. Wenjing Ni received a PhD degree in linguistics in 2024 from the University of Hong Kong. Her research interests span areas such as psycholinguistics, artificial intelligence, natural language processing / computational linguistics, media study, digital humanities, and their interdisciplinary connections.
